1885

Enrique Castillo Cordoba
founded La Centroamericana, a
beverage company in Guatemala.

1934

In 1934, his children continued
their father's work through
La Mariposa, a company initially
created to make ice and ice cream.

1942

La Mariposa becomes Pepsi
bottler in Guatemala.

90's

CBC begins it's international
expansion, becoming Pepsico's
anchor bottler in Central
America and the Caribbean.

2003

Beer Joint Venture with Ambev
in Guatemala.

2011

Expansion into South America
through the acquisition of
Grupo Tesalia and Tropical.
In 2015, CBC acquires Pepsi's
bottling operations in Perú.

2013

Adherence to the United Nations
Global Compact, reconfirming
our commitment to development
and sustainability.
